
Wednesday Morning, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon told Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo "I hope what they really do is... get those [tariff deals] done quickly, if they want to calm down markets, show progress on those things."
The renowned financier also noted, "I'm taking a calm view, but I think it could get worse if we don't make some progress here."

However, President Donald Trump selectively removed these concerns when he posted Dimon's quote to Truth Social, "'Fixing Trade and Tariffs is a good thing!' Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan Chase, Chairman & CEO, on Maria B Show!" he boasted, failing to include the full quote.
Recession fears are on the minds of many Americans as Trump's sweeping tariff plans took effect.
As Reuters reports, the 69-year-old Dimon is one of the most "prominent voices in corporate America and has regularly been consulted by administrations during times of crisis."
JPMorgan's economists raised the risk of a U.S. and global recession this year to 40% from 60% after Trump unveiled the trade barriers.
