Top Democrats met Wednesday to go over how to resurrect their successes in 2017 — and pounce on President Donald Trump's tax plan.

That's according to Axios, which reported New York Democrats House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer huddled over how to go on the offensive over Trump's plan to extend his 2017 tax cuts.

Democrats plan to hammer the GOP with a "unified message" over the tax cuts — which come amid a mass effort to purge the federal government — in preparation for mid-term elections next year.

"Democrats are salivating at the opportunity to message against even deeper tax cuts being paired with broad slashes in federal spending, especially on health care," the report noted.

Even though Democrats are "powerless" to stop much of the MAGA agenda, the GOP playbook "reads like a wishlist" for Democrats, the report added.

"This is all about clearing the path to cutting taxes for billionaires, and making the American people foot the bill," Schumer told his colleagues on Wednesday.
