President Donald Trump suggested that he could nominate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the Supreme Court.

The president praised Cruz during a Wednesday summit on so-called Trump accounts for children.

"He's a very tough guy, very brilliant guy," Trump said of Cruz. "He's a brilliant legal mind, he's a brilliant man. If I nominate him for the United States Supreme Court, I will get 100% of the vote."

"The Democrats will vote for him because they want to get him the hell out," he continued. "And the Republicans will vote for him because they want to get him the hell out, too."

"And with all of that being said, he's a great guy, too."
