Donald Trump’s ex-CFO knew the size of his boss’ famous Fifth Avenue Trump Tower had been listed as three times what it really was on financial documents – but he didn’t give it a second thought, he told a judge Tuesday
Allen Weisselberg said the tower was listed at 30,000 square feet, though he knew it was really 10,000.
But, NBC News reported, “he didn’t notice it because there were other items he was more worried about.”

"Looking at the value of that apartment relative to his net worth is not material,” Weisselberg said during testimony at Trump’s fraud trial in New York.
“It’s about 1%. Looking at the statement of financial condition, there were much larger items on there that I was more concerned about."
Judge Arthur Engoron had highlighted the exaggerated size in a pre-trial ruling, NBC reported, saying, “A discrepancy of this order of magnitude, by a real estate developer sizing up his own living space of decades, can only be considered fraud.”
Trump has been accused of inflating the value of his real estate empire in order to secure bank loans and insurance. He was sued by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Engoron has already found him and his associates liable of fraud. The trial currently ongoing is largely to determine damages.
