MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace mocks Trump by overlapping his town hall soundtrack over her show

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace started her Tuesday show by discussing Donald Trump's bizarre town hall on Monday night, which ended with him playing his favorite playlist.

To illustrate the strangeness, Wallace began running the video — with a timer in the middle of the screen.

"After a town hall, if we're still calling it that, we're certainly not around here, that was meandering and bizarre and uncomfortable to watch, and devolved into a listening party of Donald Trump's favorite tunes," Wallace said at the top of her show, pointing out that it raises more questions about Trump's "stability."

She also pointed out that Trump told his audience to vote on Jan. 5 — rather than Nov. 5.

"That happened. He took just a few questions from North Dakota Governor Kristi Noem of dog-killing fame in front of a preselected audience, and of course, it wouldn't be a Trump event without Donald Trump going on a long diatribe about the fictional character Hannibal Lecter," Wallace continued.

It would have been "bizarre enough," she said, but then he began playing music. "Because 22 days to go, that's what everybody does, right?"

While Trump asked for a song and a chart and rambled for a moment, the music didn't begin consistently playing until the last 39 minutes of the rally.

"He stood and he swayed to the music right there on stage, periodically rambling but mostly just standing there swaying silently," said Wallace.

Then she explained how she would illustrate "how excruciating long and completely weird it is for anyone, let alone a candidate for the presidency."

The video appeared on the screen with a stopwatch running, counting minute after minute of Trump standing on stage awkwardly.

"And I know we're in the Trump era and I know everything has been normalized but you decide for yourself over these next 39 minutes if you want to use a lifeline. Call a friend, and ask if they think that's normal."
