Cheers erupted on Wednesday as Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City was demolished.
The casino has been closed since 2014 and had fallen "into such disrepair that chunks of the building began peeling off and crashing to the ground," according to the Associated Press.

Atlantic City's mayor had tried to auction off the right to press the button to reduce the casino to rubble for charity.
"Trump openly mocked Atlantic City, saying he made a lot of money and then got out," said Mayor Marty Small, clearly relishing the gesture.
But the effort was called off due to safety concerns.
Trump's opulent Atlantic City casinos filed for bankruptcy in 2004, 2009 and for a final time in 2014.
But that didn't stop Trump boasting that "the money I took out of there was incredible."
