One of the Florida fraternity members caught chanting the word "rape" in a recently released video was accused of sexually assaulting a woman last year at the organization's off-campus apartment.

The woman confirmed by text message that she recognized her assailant's voice in the video, which was recorded June 9 by a friend who was dating another member of the Sigma Nu fraternity at the University of Central Florida, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

The video, which was publicized last week by Knight News, is mostly dark but shows men who are reportedly fraternity members using racial slurs and encouraging sexual assault.

"Let's rape some b*tches," one man says, and another says they should "rape some f*cking sluts." Then the men chant "rape" multiple times.

The video was recorded by a non-student who knew about the sexual assault case against the fraternity member, and she gave the recording to the victim -- who then filed a student conduct incident report on the video.

The victim told authorities she was sexually assaulted in October by the fraternity member, saying she awoke in pain after a party at the Sigma Nu apartment and found an unwrapped condom and condom wrapper next to her.

She reported the attack in February to UCF police, who sent the case two months later to the State Attorney's office.

The man has not been charged with a crime, and the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office said Monday that it received too many cases to confirm whether its investigators had received the case for review.

University officials suspended the Sigma Nu chapter last month after learning of the video, and an investigation will be conducted under the federal Title IX law against sexual discrimination in public education.
