Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity devote hours to bashing Clinton to avoid Russia scandals

It's been eight months since Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton -- but apparently, Fox News won't let the story die.

As CNN notes, Fox News has taken an interesting editorial approach in recent weeks by increasingly mentioning Clinton instead of going in-depth about the various and sundry scandals rocking Trump's White House.

"The new rule is any contact with Russia is contact with Vladimir Putin himself and therefore treason," Tucker Carlson during a segment earlier this week. "What do you make of Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill Clinton's contact with the Russians while she was secretary of state?"

As he raised the Clinton specter, the chyron at the bottom of the screen read: "POLL: TRUMP MORE POPULAR THAN CLINTON."

Sean Hannity took it a step further by having Trump's lawyer-turned-spokesman Jay Sekulow during an entire segment devoted to so-called "Clinton scandals."

According to Media Matters, Fox devoted 23 minutes to Clinton during Tuesday's airtime -- "an unusual amount, given that she does not occupy public office and is not currently running for one."

Media Matters also pointed out that Hannity spent more time talking about Clinton this week than he did about health care.
