On Monday, former President Barack Obama is headed to Washington D.C. to meet with freshman Democrats in the House, Politico reports.

The event is meant to “celebrate the freshman class of the 116th Congress” according to an invite to the event, sent by House Majority leader Nancy Pelosi.

Since the election of President Donald Trump, Obama has involved himself in politics sparingly, rarely speaking about his successor.

As Politico points out, Obama was more active in the November midterms. He might take a more involved approach in the upcoming Democratic primaries.
