Maisie Williams, the actress who plays Arya Stark on HBO's Game of Thrones, took time out from her Always #LikeAGirl campaign to throw cold water on people's fervent desire to believe that her character's half brother Jon Snow -- played by actor Kit Harrington -- can't possibly be dead.
"I think people are trying to be very positive about this, like, ‘It's fine. He's coming back. He's totally coming back, right? He's going to come back?'" said Williams to E! News. "I'm like, ‘I don't think so. I'm very sorry!'"
"We saw him get stabbed like five times in the chest," she went on. "I think he's gone. I mean, I could be wrong, but I really don't think so. And people are like, ‘He's going to come back as White Walker!' I'm like, 'Really, we'd bring back Jon Snow as a White Walker?!' OK, you can believe what you'd like."
In previous seasons of the HBO series, viewers could turn to the George R. R. Martin books upon which Game of Thrones is based, but at this point, the series has gone beyond Martin's published works.
The Always #LikeAGirl campaign seeks to empower teens and young girls by rejecting the limitations society places on them.
