Donald Trump continued to dominate the Republican presidential nomination race on Tuesday after garnering the win in the party's Nevada caucus, CNN reported.

CBS News and NBC News also projected Trump the winner on Tuesday night.

The win marks the real estate mogul's third consecutive win after taking the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.

The caucus was plagued by reports of irregularities that included polling sites running out of ballots and poll workers wearing Trump gear while collecting ballots.

While Trump had 42 percent of the vote as of 9:08 Pacific, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came in second with 25 percent. He was trailed by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who had 21 percent.
