'My microwave's name is Kellyanne': MSNBC's Mika mocks Conway's paranoid claims

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski mocked Kellyanne Conway's weird claim about microwave ovens in a quick quip at the end of a segment with the president's feud with a basketball player's dad.

President Donald Trump and LaVar Ball, the father of UCLA player LiAngelo Ball, have engaged in trading insults since the weekend, after the president complained three black players had been insufficiently grateful for helping to secure their release from China on shoplifting charges.

The "Morning Joe" hosts discussed Ball's combative appearance Monday night on CNN, where he demanded host Chris Cuomo thank him and wished Trump happy Thanksgiving.

"He's handing LaVar Ball what he wants on a silver platter," said co-host Willie Geist of the famously self-promoting basketball father. "Ball was on TV last night in a crazy interview. He's getting what he wants and moving merchandise."

Co-host Joe Scarborough broke in by quoting the Dire Straits song, "Money For Nothing."

"We got to move those microwave ovens," Scarborough said.

That jogged Brzezinski's memory of Conway's claim back in March that President Barack Obama may have spied on Trump during the campaign through a microwave oven.

"My microwave's name is Kellyanne," Brzezinski said. "I say, 'Thanks, Kellyanne.' I got my mac and cheese."
