Anti-abortion students at Baylor University are accusing Tomi Lahren and Turning Point USA of censorship after the conservative talking head refused to answer questions about her pro-choice stance during the organization’s annual Student Action Summit.

Lahren, who famously came out as pro-choice during a May 2017 appearance on “The View,” appeared at the summit last Thursday—dodging questions about her controversial abortion stance and former NFL quarterback Colin Kapernick.

According to a tweet from Baylor University student Chloe Knox, when she attempted to ask Lahren about protecting “unborn children,” Turning Point USA staff members said the famously “pro-free speech” firebrand would not be taking such questions.

“I spent hundreds of dollars to be here, but you’re going to deny me my free speech?” Knox wrote.

“I’m livid,” she continued. “You’ve turned away a dozen students wanting to ask Tomi about her pro-abortion stance. Who’s the snowflake afraid of free speech and open discussion now?”

According to the Washington Examiner, during Lahren’s Q&A, students shouted at her about her abortion stance. “You need to simmer down!” Lahren reportedly replied. ‘You don’t even want to start with me!”

As the Examiner also notes, Lahren responded to the controversy surrounding her appearance at the Student Action Summit by calling herself a role model in on Instagram—where, it should be noted, she also was free to ignore her detractors.
