President Donald Trump started off Monday morning with a subdued tweet about the economy, hours after porn actress Stormy Daniels described her sexual relationship with him in embarrassing -- and legally problematic -- detail.
Daniels and her attorney, Michael Avenatti, showed evidence of a $130,000 hush money payout days before the 2016 election that suggest Trump attorney Michael Cohen violated campaign finance law, and the former adult film star told viewers about her sexual relationship with the president.
Trump, who has no attacked Daniels the way he has other perceived political enemies, still has not reacted the "60 Minutes" interview in two tweets since it aired.
"The economy is looking really good," Trump tweeted Monday morning. "It has been many years that we have seen these kind of numbers. The underlying strength of companies has perhaps never been better."
The president touted a book about his campaign late Sunday by conservative columnist Howie Carr, which was his first tweet since the Daniels interview his lawyers tried to block before it aired.
