An 80-year-old man has been arrested after he went on a racist tirade aimed at a black college student and then physically assaulted her on Tuesday, reports KTLA.
According to the report, Fredric Allan Shinerock, was arrested on suspicion of battery over the altercation in the parking lot at Santa Monica College because he became enraged over how the unidentified woman had parked her car.
Video uploaded to Twitter by Enrique Conde shows Shinerock repeatedly screaming "n*gger" and telling her to go "back to South L.A." at her before kicking her and coming to blows.
Conde explained that the woman was in the process of moving her car after she parked over one of the lines when Shinerock went after her, screaming epithets and yelling, "You don't belong here."
"Right away, here are these racial slurs and expletives being shouted," Conde explained.
According to the report, the elderly man was cited and released at the scene, however his actions are being investigated by the Santa Monica City Attorney's Office as a possible hate crime.
The woman was reportedly checked out by paramedics at the scene but not taken to the hospital for treatment.
