Saturday Night Live opened the second episode of its season with a skit set in the "GOP locker room" with a wild party where elderly white male senators celebrated the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court like a sports championship.
"Let's ralph til we boof!" said Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA).
Heidi Gardner , playing CNN's Dana Bash, then interviewed a Mitch McConnell as he strode by with a towel on his neck.
"Republicans read the mood of the country and we could tell that people really wanted Kavanaugh," he said. "Everyone's pumped, from white men over 60 to white men over 70!"
Kate McKinnon's spot-on Lindsey Graham was back to break down the win.
"For a while we thought it was going to be tied and we were going to have to tied and we were going to have to going with our closer, Mike Pence," Graham said. "Thank the male lord that wasn't necessary!"
Cecily Strong played a perfect Susan Collins.
"We're going to party like it's 2020—when Susan Rice takes my seat," she said.
