The Republican nominee for governor in Nevada is continuing to hide from reporters since a major scandal rocked his campaign.

Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt may lose his license to practice law -- after failing to disclose an arrest on suspicion of assaulting a police officer in Virginia.

Laxalt's campaign is in such disarray that 12 members of his own family have urged Nevadans to vote against his campaign.

Today Laxalt held an event in Reno, but refused to answer questions from local TV station KOLO "about why he's been on the down low for the last few months."

Laxalt denied KOLO's request for an interview and left "through a side door and avoiding our cameras" the station reported.

Veteran Nevada politico reporter Jon Ralston has been tracking Laxalt's pattern of hiding from the press.
