It did not go unnoticed on Twitter that President Donald Trump harshest comments, delivered during an unhinged impromptu press conference on Friday morning, singled out two black journalists from CNN -- Abby Phillip and April Ryan.
During the twenty minutes of questions from reporters, Trump insulted well-respected White House correspondent Ryan as a “loser” who “doesn’t know what the hell she is doing.” When Phillip attempted to ask him about special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, the president told her to her face that she was asking a "stupid question," before claiming Phillip always asks "stupid questions."
The deeply personal and demeaning comments were immediately hammered on Twitter, as former MSNBC host Soledad O'Brien got the ball rolling with: "The President attacking black women again."
Then it was on.
