On Thanksgiving, Fox News continued their panic over Democrats capturing control of the House of Representatives.
Fox Business Network personality Charles Payne, who was filling in during the holiday, was concerned that Democrats would provide oversight of President Donald Trump.
"You've got these older, established Democrats who've seen what's happened in the past, they know it's a risky political move," he argued.
"Whereas the upstarts, the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's of the world, maybe they just don't know, they're like bulls in a china shop, they just want to create havoc," Payne suggested.
"Right," said Phil Wegmann of the conservative Washington Examiner.
"The question for Republicans is how do they want to respond," Wegmann said. "Are they going to continue with a nice-guy sort-of schtick, like we saw out of Paul Ryan (R-WI) -- who is a lovable policy wonk -- or Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who is, you know, the affable friend of everybody in Congress or are they going to respond like Newt Gingrich would have and really bring the hammer down."
