President Donald Trump received a great deal of criticism for his conduct while visiting U.S. troops in Iraq.
Presidential historian Michael Beschloss explained why his campaign speech to troops was "obscene" and "disgraceful." National Security expert Malcolm Nance slammed Trump for revealing the identities of SEAL officers.
“The record shows Trump has consistently used our military as a prop for his personal and political advantage,” former CIA intelligence officer Ned Price said.
Trump even told the troops two "flagrant lies" about their paychecks.
But Fox News viewers on Thursday heard Trump praised, claiming all the criticism was media bias.
"Is there anything that the president can do that would be right?" asked former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), who was filling in for Fox News personality Sean Hannity.
"It doesn't seem to matter what this president does, they always seem to find fault in it -- even visiting the troops at Christmastime," Chaffetz argued.
"That's exactly right," said Republican National Committee spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany.
"He does what is right and yet is still called out for it with blatant bias, with editorializing, with fake news stories," she claimed.
"You know, I watched the entirety of his 25-minute speech, it was a very beautiful speech," she continued.
"He said and did everything right," she added.
