This GOP conspiracy theory about Flynn and the FBI was too crazy even for Fox News' Jeanine Pirro

While filling in for Fox News host Sean Hannity, Judge Jeanine Pirro shot down a conspiracy theory about former Trump aide Michael Flynn -- because it contained factual inaccuracies.

The bizarre scene transpired during an interview with Sebastian Gorka, a former Trump White House aide who like Flynn left the administration in disgrace after unsavory parts of his background were revealed.

In a panel discussion on the bombastic Flynn sentencing hearing, Gorka echoed a GOP conspiracy theory alleging former FBI director James Comey skirted norms and created a trap by sending agents to interview the ex-national security adviser at the White House.

"Why did Jim Comey send those agents to the White House in flagrant denial of White House Counsel procedure?" the ex-Trump administration aide mused. "It was a classic entrapment ploy."

Pirro, however, corrected him.

"Not legal entrapment in the sense that we prosecutors understand it," she told Gorka, adding that it could be considered a "perjury trap."
