MSNBC's Rachel Maddow revealed on-air Friday night that Republicans in the House held an "emergency meeting" hours before the government was set to shut down -- but that the topic was cheese.

The host then played a clip of Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) telling his Republican colleagues that it's "really something" for them to be holding the meeting about the "Curd Act" but not discussing the looming shutdown.
