At the end of a press conference Friday afternoon, Donald Trump mocked CNN’s Jim Acosta for posting a video that downplayed the president’s claims of a “crisis” on the border.

"Good job yesterday, I appreciate your salesmanship," Trump sarcastically told Acosta after a White House meeting on border security.

"I didn’t see any invasion at the border," Acosta shot back.

"Oh you didn’t? That’s because we have a wall," Trump said.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump joined a chorus of Republicans mocking Acosta for his reporting at the border.

"We're not seeing any kind of imminent danger. There are no migrants trying to rush toward this fence here in the McAllen, Texas, area," Acosta said in his video. "No sign of the national emergency that the president has been talking about. As a matter of fact, it's pretty tranquil down here."
