Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani said that he was initially outraged at Attorney General William Barr for noting in his summary to Congress that the president was "not exonerated" by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Giuliani made the remarks while appearing on CBS's The Takeout podcast with Trump attorney Jay Sekulow and host Major Garrett.
"The minute I saw that, I said, ‘What the hell are they putting that in there for?’” Giuliani recalled of the moment that he saw Mueller had "not exonerated" Trump.
But in the end, the president's lawyer said he was pleased that Barr took the step deciding not to indict the president.
According to Giuliani, Barr's memo went "much further than they have to go" to exonerate the president.
The podcast is set to air on Friday.
