On Monday, CNN's Erin Burnett's panel slammed White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders after she dogged multiple questions in a press briefing.
Sanders failed to confirm whether or not President Donald Trump said that the Democratic Party hates Jews.
Burnett said that Sanders should have prepared for the press briefing since it is her first one in over two months.
"It gives the impression of a press secretary who is forced to go up and basically issue absurd denials because she can't even trust the president's own word," CNN political analyst John Avlon said. "Basically, the White House Secretary job is to be a paid liar. She is only as good as the information she gets, and it's bad."
Watergate attorney John Dean explained that Sanders responses to reporters are "quite remarkable."
"I've seen a press room under fire before, in my time, but I've never seen one as non-responsive as this one. It's really quite remarkable," Dean said.
"She goes out there and she's either unprepared or afraid to get out on a limb, because [Trump] going to change his position, as soon as she takes a position. It's kind of sad, really. I don't even know why she bothers," Dean said.
"Sarah was the queen of dodgeball," veteran White House reporter April Ryan said. "She probably felt that she shouldn't say it because she's now starting to take the advice of real lawyers, to keep their mouths shut until everything is done and you're in court or in hearings. But at the same time, she knew she couldn't win, because the president says one thing, but his credibility is shot."
"But she is the queen of dodgeball."
