White nationalists brag that Trump has more KKK delegates waiting to reveal themselves

Donald Trump earned the support of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke last year when the onetime Grand Dragon said he thinks the presidential candidate’s views are even more radical than his own. The endorsement and have all been things Trump was slow to disavow, blaming an earpiece malfunction, but that hasn't stopped the Trump campaign from bringing in a lot of white nationalist support.

Trump's California white nationalist delegate, William Johnson, might have pulled his name from the delegate list at the campaign's request, but that hasn't stopped other white nationalists from lining up to support Trump.

"[H]ere is what they don't know: we have more delegates!" the American Freedom Party wrote on its Facebook page last week, Mother Jones reported Thursday.

Johnson confirmed to MoJo that he has nothing to do with the AFP's page, but did acknowledge that Robert H. DePasquale is the man behind it. The Southern Poverty Law Center lists DePasquale as the tech guy behind the KKK's web operations. They cite DePasquale as the poster of more than 20,000 racist and anti-Semitic messages on Stormfront.

The AFP also started a super PAC this year that has been paying for robocalls in and caucus states all over the country. Johnson even bragged to MoJo that he knows of at least one other KKK member who will serve as an honorary delegate for Trump, but refused to say who it was. He explained that the rest are probably flying under the radar.

"Right now people are still a little bit afraid because they will have the same reaction that happened to me," Johnson said. "We just have to give it a few more months before people feel comfortable."

Johnson has said in the past that Trump's white nationalist message will modernize the KKK by making racism seem more mainstream.

The American Freedom Party says that they hope to serve as a solution to a restrictive two-party system that they believe has wrecked our country. They aim to maintain a "nationalist party that shares the customs and heritage of the European American people," according to their website.
