‘Kook squad’ Republican Andy Biggs ripped for his support for Marjorie Taylor Greene by local columnist
Facebook.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) was blasted by Arizona Republic columnist Laurie Roberts for proving key political support for QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

"The new face of the Republican Party may be Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, but look behind the curtain, Arizona. There you will find … wait for it … Rep. Andy Biggs," Roberts wrote. "I know. You were thinking I'd say Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), but Biggs is fast developing into a member of the kook squad."

"Biggs, who heads the House Freedom Caucus, has spent the last year throwing in with the party's far-right-over-the-edge wing," Roberts wrote. "Now, we learn that Biggs actually encouraged the Republican Party's second biggest headache, QAnon's Marjorie Taylor Greene, to run for Congress last year. Put another way, he apparently viewed Greene — a woman who sees Donald Trump as a messiah and Democrats as a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who sex-traffick children from the basement of a Washington, D.C., pizza parlor that has no basement — as a good fit for the United States House of Representatives."

The Freedom Caucus backed Greene with almost $40,000 in independent expenditures and Biggs donated $1,000 to her campaign.

Roberts noted the differences in how the two parties were viewing Greene's ascendance to Congress.

"She's been in office less than a month and already Democrats have called for her censure or expulsion, given her inflammatory remarks now coming into public view. Republicans, meanwhile, put her on the House Education Committee," she wrote.
