Former Donald Trump lawyer Todd Blanche’s interview with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell was dismissed by a former FBI supervisor who admitted he was stunned at how poorly it appears to have been conducted.

Coming on the heels of the Department of Justice releasing audio and transcripts late Friday, where Maxwell downplayed Trump’s friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Rob D’Amico had nothing good to say about Blanche who is second in command at the DOJ.

Prompted by MSNBC host Alex Witt about the ethics of having a former lawyer for Trump attempting to play like he is a neutral observer, D’Amico replied, “I mean, that's obvious. It's not coming from a government person that knows the.case; that can sit there and say, when she starts lying, that, ‘Hey, you're lying, we have all these witness statements.’”

“Anytime a case agent and the lead prosecutor aren't doing the interview that you have, there's a reason for it,” he asserted. “And again, this was even more so on the other side that it was just to exonerate his client ––. it wasn't for the government. It wasn't for anything else.”

“The way he asked questions was telling her how he wanted him answered,” he accused. “It was just so ––, as an interrogator, you look at it and you're like, oh my gosh, it just leaves you dumbfounded. But like I said, any time it's not the case agent, lead prosecutor, there's something up.”
