Capitol Police block roads after 'bomb threat' at HHS building: report

According to Axios reporter Andrew Solender, Capitol Police have closed down roads near the Health and Human Services building as a result of a reported "bomb threat" on Wednesday morning.

Per an alert reportedly sent to Capitol Hill staff, the closed roads are Independence Avenue SW between Washington Avenue and Third Street SW, and C Street SW between Second Street and Third Street SW.

News anchor P. J. Elliott posted what appears to be an image of the Federal Protective Service Police on site, investigating the incident.

As of this reporting, there is no further information on the nature of the threat or who is responsible.
