NewsNation's Chris Cuomo pressured former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on X Monday over what he has done to give the public closure over the Jeffrey Epstein trafficking case files — and he threw a public meltdown in response.
The exchange came after Bongino went on the offensive against far-right former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson, who is claiming to have evidence that the Trump administration "shut down" the investigation into the president's own attempted assassination on the campaign trail in Butler, Pennsylvania in 2024.
Bongino, himself a far-right podcaster dating back to before his brief time with the FBI, repeatedly took to X, demanding Carlson show his evidence.
"As we all anxiously wait for Tucker to produce a single piece of evidence for any of his psychotic claims, I sense a growing rage amongst his shrinking number of groupies," wrote Bongino. "They must know by now that they’ve been played. They’ve invested their time in a circus clown who has backed himself in a corner. So rather than admit they got played, they rage out and claw at their own faces while emptying themselves into their pull-up diapers. It’s a sad thing to witness. The doomers and grifters are all being exposed."
Cuomo, who previously worked for CNN, hit back at this point, writing, "Help me get why ANY of you are ok with bongino saying this after he did you dirty on epstein?"
Bongino then replied, "Did you dirty? What the (expletive) are you talking about? I busted my (expletive) on that case. Did you miss that entire news cycle? Remember when you kissed my (expletive) when I saw at the UFC? Remember your people begging me to be on your (expletive) show? (Receipts attached)."
"You’re a fraud," he added. "Go back to posing naked in your backyard while playing with life sized Q-Tips with your brother."
