President Donald Trump insisted his position on tariffs would not change despite the stock market entering a tailspin since they were announced.
The president announced tariffs on imports from nearly 100 nations worldwide, as well as the European Union, and China has already come out with reciprocal 34-percent tariffs to match U.S. duties, but Trump doubled down on his position and said he would not blink before they go into effect April 10.

"To the many investors coming into the United States and investing massive amounts of money, my policies will never change," Trump posted in all caps Friday morning on Truth Social. "This is a great time to get rich, richer than ever before!!!"
Financial markets plunged after China announced its reciprocal tariffs, a day after the U.S. stock market posted its worst day in five years, and S&P 500 and the Nasdaq both appear poised for another slump Friday.
