People were mocking President Donald Trump on Thursday after he claimed he "aced" his cognitive exams and mistakenly claimed he has served three terms as president.

Trump argued that he thinks all presidential or vice presidential candidates should be "forced" to do the same exams and tried to put down his predecessors, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

He wrote the following on his Truth Social platform:

"Anybody running for President or Vice President should be forced to take a Cognitive Examination prior to entering the Race! By doing so, we wouldn’t be surprised at people like Barack 'Hussein' Obama, or Sleepy Joe Biden, getting 'ELECTED.' Our Country would be a much better place! I took the Exam three times during my ('THREE!') Terms as President, and ACED IT ALL THREE TIMES — An Achievement that, even on a single Exam, according to the Doctors, has rarely been done before!"

Social media users were stunned by Trump's move and shared their thoughts.

"Three terms as president? Let's call that a delusion and get a strait jacket [SIC] ready," Lizzie Cochrane, who self-describes as a small business owner and Democrat, wrote on X.

"'King Dr Donald Jesus Trump' is a lying psychotic lunatic," former teacher Janice Sullivan wrote on X.

"Never in history has one guy been so thrilled that he can identify a giraffe," political commentator Bill Johnson wrote on X.

"I am no longer flabbergasted that he considers passing a cognitive test an achievement - but it's amazing that not one of his advisors can get him to stop humiliating himself by bragging about it," book reviewer and librarian Sondra Eklund wrote on X.

"Trump talking about his cognitive test like Al Bundy talking about the one time he threw a TD against Polk High," Daily Kos reporter Oliver Willis wrote on Bluesky.
