Former President Donald Trump on Monday ran out of legal options to shield his tax returns from Manhattan DA Cy Vance, Jr.
From Mar-a-Lago, Trump sent an angry missive complaining about the U.S. Supreme Court ruling against him.
The former president argued it was "political persecution" and "a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country."
"It just never ends!" Trump whined.
Presidential historian Michael Beschloss analyzed Trump's statement on Twitter.
"Guess who just issued this statement about New York investigation of his financial dealings? Pity — he's not sounding very happy," he wrote.
"It's so sad that such an honest, upstanding, well-intentioned, hard-working ex-President could be treated so unfairly," he joked.
"Poor guy, he seems so unhappy down there in South Florida, sort of like a loser," Beschloss noted. "He is obviously hungry for attention — isn't there some kind of karaoke night or something down there in Palm Beach?"
He also noted Trump's grammar.
