MAGA 'melting down' over ex-Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis' Ron DeSantis endorsement

After months of speculation and increased outspokenness against her former boss, onetime Donald Trump attorney Jenna Ellis publicly endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president in 2024.

But since she has done so, the Trump world, already on the outs with her for taking a plea bargain in the Georgia election racketeering case, has completely turned on her as a public enemy — something she herself acknowledged when she posted on X, "I see the MAGA leftists are out trolling my mentions and completely melting down because I endorsed Ron DeSantis."

Far-right figures, from prominent activists to rank-and-file voters, have been coming after her nonstop.

"Truly the kiss of death for his already failed campaign," wrote self-proclaimed Islamophobic activist Laura Loomer. "DeSantis is now endorsed by people working to jail Trump and his supporters. Just this week, Fani Willis was defending Jenna Ellis is court. Disgraceful. Hopefully Fani and Ellis are both Jailed someday. As I exposed, Jenna Ellis perjured herself in Fulton, County when she made up lies about @DanScavino, Trump, and said she wish she never represented Trump. Just an awful person all around. PS: That picture of her is a total catfish. So deceptive."

"Call me a conspiracy theorist, but Jenna Ellis’s posts, lead me to question this plea deal. If it were a felony: Would she talk about voting for DeSantis? Would she be denying she was convicted of a crime?" wrote Angela Malone. "She’s an attorney. She knows felons can’t vote and a plea deal is an admission of guilt. What am I missing? Something doesn’t feel right." (In fact, convicted felons can vote in most states, at least upon completing their sentence.)

"Jenna Ellis blocked me a year ago after I called her a closet, never Trumper DeSantis supporter," wrote Vince Langman. "Looks like I was right again."

"DeSantis just doesn't know he is finished; he has no commonsense to know to get out of race," wrote Delle Rose. "A picture with Jenna Ellis just put the final nail in his coffin."

"Wow, [Fulton County DA] Fani Willis and DeSantis supporter Jenna Ellis attempted to jail Black Voices for Trump Founder Harrison Floyd 2 days before Thanksgiving," wrote Charles Downs. "How awful. Loomer was right about Ellis’ fundraising scam. Ms. Ellis should return the money she raised ASAP."

"I challenge you to go one full week without referencing the word 'MAGA' or 'Trump' in any of your tweets," wrote Lori Love directly to Ellis. "Will you take me up on that? I might even set up another GoFundMe for you if you make it the full 7 days. I know you don’t do anything unless there’s $ in it."

"Who is melting down?" wrote an anonymous account simply called "Trumpwon." "You act like your endorsement helps Ron DeSantis, when it’s really amplifying Trump’s mission. It sounds more like you may be trying to convince DeSantis camp your endorsement means something."

"The fact that you encourage MAGA as a derogatory term told us that was where you were going," wrote Lorraine Bowers. "Sorry, the money donated by mostly MAGA for your legal troubles wasn't enough. Best of luck to you. I choose to remember the hero that stepped up to the challenge."
