'Problem with his dentures': MSNBC host tries to decode what went wrong in Trump-Musk chat

An MSNBC host cracked jokes Tuesday over former President Donald Trump's interview with tech billionaire Elon Musk, which drew questions over Trump's slurred speech.

The slurred speech prompted responses from social media listeners on X, and on Tuesday, MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace questioned if it was something else.

She also played a clip of Trump saying that global climate change wasn't all that bad and would raise sea levels about "one-eighth of an inch." Trump said it would "increase the oceanfront properties."

"I mean, you could just stop right here," she said, "and for the next two hours, deal with the 'oceanfront property.' The thing about the oceanfront property is that it would all be underwater. Call it a technical snafu, a medical issue, call it a problem with his dentures, age, call it whatever you want. But we see what we see. And at best, Donald Trump is having difficulty enunciating his words. It sounds like it could be any of those things."

While she said that she wasn't sure what the cause was, she said it shouldn't be ignored. She also urged Americans not to miss Trump's cozy relationship with billionaires like Musk.

"Trump's entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself. Self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024," Wallace said, poking fun at the 40-minute delay due to technical issues on X.
