A member of the U.S. House select committee explained how Donald Trump's allies might be rounded up and arrested if they continued to defy congressional subpoenas in the Jan. 6 investigation.

Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) appeared on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," where she called for fines or jail time for former Trump advisers who flout orders for their testimony and documents related to the insurrection, and she revealed what questions the committee had for former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and others served with the subpoenas.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) revealed how the White House and House Republicans helped Steve Bannon evade accountability in the Russia probe.

The former White House chief strategist and chief executive of Donald Trump's first campaign was called in 2018 by the House Intelligence Committee to testify about Russian election interference, but Schiff told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that Bannon was allowed to sidestep their questions.

On Tuesday morning, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough hammered Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for banning business owners from mandating vaccines for their employees.

The Republican governor expanded prior orders from his office to prohibit any entity, including private business owners, from requiring employees or customers to be vaccinated, and the "Morning Joe" host called that move "insanity."

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough called for stiffer punishments for the Donald Trump supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol with the intention of overturning his election loss.

Many of the rioters have already taken plea agreements resulting in fines and months in jail, but the "Morning Joe" host said they're getting off too easy, and he said Republicans who continue to back the twice-impeached one-term president should be banished from polite society.

MSNBC Brian Williams did his final commentary at the close of the show mocking the far-right television station OAN and the recent controversy the phone company AT&T is suffering from after Reuters revealed they funded the station.

OAN was has been the target of late-night comedians, John Oliver, The Lincoln Project and now Williams is adding his name to those calling out the absurdity of the channel.

The Lincoln Project just released a video of a mock AT&T commercial bragging about their phone service while funding white nationalist hosts at the far-right network OAN.

Using videos of happy people talking on cell phones, the "ad" and how the company allows users to reach out to their friends and family to "feel the connection too many Americans are missing today."

The outbreak of anti-vaccine behavior by Americans this year led to a slew of mockery of the conspiracy theorists in Halloween displays.

Local news stations are reporting several graveyard displays in front of homes with anti-vaccine slogans like "I did my own research" or "I don't know what's in it" written on the tombstones. Some skeletons are being seen with their own anti-vaccine protest signs reading "government conspiracy," "bathed in the blood," "personal freedom" and "I refuse to live afraid."

Speaking to Nicolle Wallace on Monday, former Trump administration official Miles Taylor revealed that he's so concerned about the state of the GOP that something must be done to take the party back.

Wallace, however, was skeptical of his efforts and said that the GOP of the past is long gone.

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace was furious at Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) after his appearance Sunday on Fox News, in which he dodged saying he believed the "big lie."

Wallace, who used to be a Republican who worked for former President George W. Bush, has fled the GOP and has been growing angrier about their commitment to former President Donald Trump.

"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" is run by HBO, which is owned by parent company AT&T, leading the host to spend several shows pushing the envelope of what he calls his "business daddy."

But revelations this week revealed that AT&T helped make OAN what it is today when a staffer suggested it to the CEO. The report led Oliver to reach out and ask for clarification from the large phone company about whether they are supporting the right-wing extremism that airs daily on the network.

Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson explained to CNN that the films "Deep Impact" and "Armageddon" came up with terrible ideas for solving the comet and asteroid crisis that the Earth is facing.

Both films deal with a massive body headed toward Earth that could destroy life on the planet. Both also use nuclear bombs to blow them up as a way of saving humanity.

Speaking to CNN host Pamela Brown on Sunday, Fiona Hill, the former Russia expert at the U.S. National Security Council under President Donald Trump, explained that she is far more concerned about the ex-president than Vladimir Putin.

"What Russia has been doing for quite some time, and especially since its intervention in the 2016 elections, is actually using material and those kinds of statements to exploit them and to basically come to some sort of division," she explained."I think the most disturbing thing for anybody watching American politics for the last several years has been the fact that it's our own president, our own former president, Donald Trump, who has been talking down U.S. democracy. In many respects, the Russians don't have to do very much but sit back and watch as he does this. It was President Trump who told everybody the election would be stolen."

Former Watergate prosecutor Nick Ackerman spoke to CNN's Jim Acosta on Sunday to explain why former President Donald Trump doesn't have any hope of claiming executive privilege for information about the Jan. 6 attack.

Ackerman did acknowledge, however, that because Trump has all of the legal options available to him, he'll likely gum up the Jan. 6 committee in Congress.
