MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski ridiculed the Fox News network for devoting their pre-election coverage to a freak out over President Joe Biden describing MAGA fans as "garbage" in a reaction to Donald Trump's much-maligned Madison Square Garden rally.
After the president, who is not on the ballot next week, aimed a barb at a conservative comedian who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage" at the New York City event, conservatives were quick to take offense.
According to Brzezinski, Fox News personalities were leading the charge and resorting to dramatics to ramp up the outrage.

"I want to ask you about Joe Biden's use of the word 'garbage' and what he meant versus what he said because I thought it was actually the reaction to it that was very telling," she said.
She specifically mention Kamala Harris' reaction to Biden's statement — making clear she did not agree with the perceived sentiment,
"Kamala Harris did something Donald Trump has never done: she just answers the question, validates and then made a very good point about how she would lead Americans, all Americans — and also said that's not what he meant," the host said.
"We know where the word came from: it came from Donald Trump," she asserted. "It came from his comedian at the MAGA rally at MSG [Madison Square Garden] that looked really creepy in a million different ways and frightening to a lot of people."
"And yet, on Fox News, this is on a loop for 24 hours, as if the word 'garbage' had never been said before by Donald Trump, where it started," she added before using a whiny voice and mimicking an unidentified Fox host dramatically exclaiming, "I will always remember the day, where I was at the moment half the country was called garbage!"
"I swear to God, that was said with a straight face on Fox News," she dryly pointed out.
