Trump supporter who organized bus rides for January 6 rally gets 60 days in jail

Frank Scavo, who reportedly organized bus rides that ferried around 200 people to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, was sentenced to 60 days in jail this Monday, HuffPost reports.

"He should have known better [than] to have entered the Capitol," Assistant U.S. Attorney Seth Meinero told Judge Royce Lamberth, saying that Scavo had a "front-row seat" to the riot at the U.S. Capitol that day.

In their sentencing memo, prosecutors pointed to a cartoon Scavo shared on Facebook which depicted someone driving a bus labeled the "Sedition Express" to D.C., describing himself in the comments as a "Capitol tour guide."

Scavo, who is from Pennsylvania, expressed remorse for his actions before his sentencing, saying he wanted to make amends for his actions and that Jan. 6 was a "dark day."
