Scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos was greeted by a crowd of hecklers outside a Long Island courthouse Friday.
After leaving the courthouse where he pleaded not guilty to a superseding federal indictment, the freshman New York lawmaker and accused serial fraudster was pelted with verbal abuse from angry constituents – many of whom chanted "liar" at him.
At one point, a protester yelled out, "You killed my dog!', a likely reference to claims made by Richard Osthoff, a disabled military veteran who claimed that Santos set up an online fundraiser to pay for his dying dog's healthcare and then pilfered the funds for himself.

Earlier this year, a heckler outside the courthouse also yelled at Santos about killing their dog, although it's not clear if it is the same heckler who appeared in Friday's video.
At the end of the video, a heckler can be heard shouting at Santos, "You're not a well-dressed congressman!" after which he laughed and said, "That must have hurt him the most!"
Santos has been enmeshed in scandal before he was even sworn in as a congressman after numerous media outlets discovered that he had fabricated his academic, work, and family histories.
Santos also faces a potential vote on his expulsion from Congress sponsored by several of his fellow New York Republicans.
