Rudy Giuliani has filed documents certifying that he has received online credit counseling after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Giuliani filed for bankruptcy on Thursday after a court ordered him to pay former election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss $148 million for defamation.

Court documents obtained by Reuters showed Giuliani had debts between $100 million and $500 million. He was said to have assets worth between $1 million and $10 million.

After filing for bankruptcy, Giuliani notified the court that he had also obtained financial advice from "Cricket Debt Counseling" via the internet.

The certification stated that the company had not prepared a debt repayment plan for Giuliani.

According to Cricket's website, the company's debt services start at $24 per household.

"Cricket Debt Counseling is a nonprofit budget and credit counseling agency approved to provide counseling that individuals must take before they are eligible to file for bankruptcy protection," the website states.
