'Gonna be big mad': Internet ridicules Trump after Time Magazine's Elon Musk tribute

For years, President Donald Trump has been seemingly infatuated with being on the cover of Time Magazine, so much so that he once had fake Time Magazine covers featuring himself mounted on the walls of his golf courses.

With this in mind, it may have come as a rude surprise for the president that the latest edition of Time featured X owner Elon Musk sitting behind the president's desk in the Oval Office.

Although Trump tried to shrug off the magazine cover on Friday by sullenly questioning whether Time was "still in business," many of the president's critics on BlueSky didn't buy for a second that he was unbothered by this development.

"Donald Trump is going to HATE the new cover of TIME magazine," predicted the Republicans Against Trump account.

"How long until Trump threatens to shut down Time Magazine?" wondered the progressive media publication Tennessee Holler.

"Somewhere in the White House, there’s a staffer cleaning ketchup off the walls this morning," predicted Democratic attorney Andrew Weinstein.

"President Elon Musk is on the cover of Time Magazine," observed artist Art Candee. "Methinks Donald is gonna be big mad that Elon is stealing his spotlight."

Sirius XM host Dean Obeidallah wondered "if Trump is even aware that Musk is the real President" given his "cognitive decline."

Journalist David Mack, however, shrugged off the jokes about the Time Musk cover and implored, "please I can’t go back to caring about the cover of Time Magazine don’t make me."
