A prominent Republican insider was outraged after the GOP's official X account sent out an offensive image mocking a Democratic governor's weight.

The Republican Party's social media account sent out a special post for Valentine's Day, publishing what appears to be an AI-generated and exaggerated cartoon image of JB Pritzker eating a pizza and a cheeseburger. The caption reads, "My love for you is bigger than JB Pritzker."

The GOP even tagged Pritzker to make sure he saw the picture.

The image caused a lot of outrage, including from conservatives. One of those voices was former Marco Rubio staffer Gregg Nunziata.

He said in response, "I still consider myself a Republican but this disgraceful, juvenile garbage, along with the personality cult and anti constitutional enthusiasm for rule by executive decree makes it harder every day."

In a separate post, he added, "The noble party of Lincoln, having embraced a low man, is predictably brought low. What a disgrace, for all of us Republicans. What a betrayal of the first Republicans who literally risked their lives for something noble and true."

He then concluded:

"I was proud to work for Marco Rubio for four years and to try to help make him president."
