Former President Donald Trump hurled a bizarre accusation at Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday that included claims she's offering free legal services to immigrants at the southern border — but gave no corroborating evidence.
Trump on Truth Social claimed that Harris, a former prosecutor, was putting up billboards along the southern border offering free legal services to migrants, whom he referred to as "illegal alien criminals."
"Kamala is now running billboards near the Border advertising FREE Legal Services for Illegal Alien Criminals," Trump wrote. "When I win, the billboards are coming down, and the Migrant Gangs are going home!"

Earlier in the day, CNN anchor Jim Acosta cut off Trump's press conference to fact-check a litany of immigration falsehoods and election lies.
Trump falsely claimed Harris had been appointed border czar by President Joe Biden and that foreign nations were unloading prisons and dumping formerly incarcerated people into the U.S.
Fact-checker Daniel Dale said this was patently false.
"Immigration has been the most frequent subject of his lying for the past month," Dale said. "If not longer."
Trump's anti-immigrant rhetoric has spurred fears of authoritarianism among his critics who compared his comments that they have "bad genes" to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
"We have long known that Donald Trump has revered the Nazis," Democratic strategist Aisha Mills said earlier this month. "Trump has had a very sinister philosophy wanting to be a dictator."
