Stop trying to make 'Kamalaflation' happen.

That's the message former President Donald Trump's campaign received Wednesday when they tried to hit their new political opponent with a recycled attack on the old one.

The attack came in the form of an analysis from Breitbart News — whose "driving force" Steve Bannon is currently serving time in a federal prison — entitled "Kamalaflation: How Harris Caused Inflation By Casting Decisive Votes For Biden's Economic Agenda" and shared by Trump campaign accounts on Truth Social and X.

"Trump War Room has nothing," X user Dortie replied. Tricia Duncan added "You're not doing this well."

Breitbart's "Kamalaflation" is an adaptation of "Bidenflation" attack Trump and his allies often threw at Biden before he dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris.

In the article, the conservative site claims that Americans are paying higher prices on household staples because Harris cast a tie-breaking vote in 2021.

Harris did indeed vote in favor of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan and, as Breitbart notes with consternation, she had the audacity to smile about it.

"Her masked smile at passing the measure now seems ironic because it hung the inflationary albatross around the neck of Biden," writes John Carney, "endangering his re-election prospects even before his disastrously feeble debate performance, and now threatens her credibility as a leader."

This argument did not pass the smell test among readers who noted the inflation attack was strikingly similar to those Trump levied against Biden and which have been repeatedly fact checked as false or lies.

"Lol," replied X user Vancouver Ranter. "Talk about grasping at straws."

"Everything about the Trump Presidency was a failure!" replied @aorgat. "He started with Obama’s great economy and he tanked it, crashed the job market, killed Texas’ small refineries, grew the deficit $8 trillion, his trade wars taxes (tariffs) raised the prices of everything, farmers lost markets."

"Trump war Room is starting to sound desperate," Milofax wrote.

"Oh no babydoll," wrote Henri. "That's not how inflation happened. That finger you point leads right back to Trump. Inflation is a lagging indicator. Biden inherited the s--- from Trump's failed economic policies. Own your c---."

"You might not know how inflation works," argued X user Pubcast.

"@GOP is Scared & Panicking in Full Meltdown due to @KamalaHarris popularity," wrote @Scoopdaa.

It also appeared to confuse an X user named Ryan, who replied, "I thought Biden did that?"
