This 'runaway beer truck' is barreling toward Trump: Morning Joe

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was raked over the coals on MS NOW on Wednesday morning over reports of significant destruction to U.S. military facilities during the Iran war and munitions shortages.

“Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski ridiculed Hegseth’s tenure after a new report from the Wall Street Journal revealed “The war in Iran has drained American supplies of missile interceptors and highly accurate offensive weapons."

According to the report, "Military planners worry the U.S. has rushed so many munitions to the Middle East that America’s ability to defend against potential threats from China and Russia has been diminished.”

This report prompted Brzezinski to argue Hegseth is “unqualified for the job,’ of Defense secretary — Scarborough agreed.

“Susie Wiles didn't like him from the start because he lied from the start," Scarborough said. "He even lied in the transition. This guy is, as we say in Northwest Florida ...'a runaway beer truck.'”

He explained, "You don't want to see a runaway beer truck in Northwest Florida, and you sure don't want to see it run your Pentagon, but that's what we have."

Scarborough then shared his view that Hegseth is barreling right toward his boss, President Donald Trump.

“Get rid of that guy and a lot of your problems at the Pentagon go away," Scarborough told the president. "Get somebody who actually knows what they're doing."
