During a Wednesday interview on Fox News, Democratic strategist James Carville raised his voice while forcing the host to admit the stock market has plummeted during Donald Trump's second presidency.
Host Martha MacCallum started the interview by asking if the Democratic Party had gone "too far left."
"I think people are afraid to death!" Carville replied. "They see markets collapsing! They see people calling Mark Kelly a traitor. They see disorder everywhere. You know, Trump was going to bring the price of eggs down from day one."
"We can't call the Enola Gay, the Enola Gay," he continued, referring to Pentagon anti-diversity efforts. "I mean, what's coming out of Washington would scare the living bejesus out of anybody, independent, Republican or Democrat. This administration is in total meltdown!"
"Well, I would point out that the market is turning around a bit today," MacCallum responded.
"So what is the market?" Carville shouted. "Well, it's been down since Trump took office! What is the market since Donald Trump took office?"
"It's lower," MacCallum acknowledged before pivoting back to a question about Democrats.
"Is this a good hill to die on for Democrats right now while they're trying to fix things for the party, James?" she asked, referring to a Columbia University graduate student who was detained for allegedly using his First Amendment rights to support Hamas.

"I thought the Republicans were the free speech party!" Carville quipped. "I'm a little bit confused because they were always talking about the virtues of free speech."
"Marco Rubio's busy fighting with Elon Musk in cabinet meetings," he added. "I'm surprised he has any time to deal with this."
Soon after, Carville's connection was cut off.
"Oh, darn," MacCallum said.
