Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) rubbed salt in Rep. James Comer's wounds on Thursday when he recounted his failed efforts to impeach President Joe Biden.

During a House Oversight Committee hearing that was intended to highlight "failures and incompetencies" of the Biden administration, Moskowitz delivered a lengthy list of all the mistakes he said Comer made during his impeachment probe of the president.

"Let's remember: We misplaced an informant over a year ago, couldn't find him, didn't know where he went," he began. "Another informant was indicted for providing false information that came from Russian intelligence. We used a second informant... who turned out to be an indicted Chinese foreign agent. And to top it off, the chairman [Comer] was like, 'Who could we find to make it even better? Maybe we can get someone to testify from prison!' Which, actually, we did hear."

Moskowitz then noted that Comer's final impeachment report on President Joe Biden stated that it was "the strongest case for impeachment of a sitting president" in American history.

Were that the case, said Moskowitz, shouldn't there have been a vote on impeaching Biden in the House of Representatives?

"You could call for impeachment right now!" he taunted. "We got a little bit of time left before the election... when are we going to schedule an impeachment? Or is this just 'concepts of impeachment'?"
