Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) attacked her colleague, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), on Wednesday after Greene's first hearing of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency subcommittee.
DOGE hasn't been established by Congress as a real department and hasn't been funded by Congress, but Republicans created a subcommittee that Greene now heads.
In her first hearing Wednesday, Crockett asked why she needed to consult a "tech guy" to find "waste, fraud, and abuse" in the government.

Newsmax host Carl Higbie claimed that Elon Musk hired someone who wrote an AI to decode a scroll from Pompeii, which makes him qualified.
Luke Farritor, who is on Musk's team, was among the three people who developed the Pompeii solution. The team crafted a way to identify the black ink in rolled-up and burned scrolls using a CT scan and the program.
"I'd say he's qualified to do an audit," said Higbie.
Greene used the opportunity to take a swipe at her Democratic colleague.
"Well, that's a little bit above Miss Crockett's intelligence level, so she doesn't really understand that," said Greene. "The reality is Democrats like Miss Crockett and Mr. Garcia pitching their temper tantrums and not being serious about our national debt is exactly why we will win in the midterms."
Meanwhile, on CNN, Crockett told anchor Jake Tapper: "This is nothing more than another payday for Elon Musk, because we know that if there is any government welfare to be handed out, it is consistently being handed out to Elon Musk, who stopped all the money to USAID while at the same time deciding that he would get another contract for over $300 million."
