Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance are expecting their fourth child, and Fox News host Brian Kilmeade already has a name in mind – one he pitched to colleagues Friday and sparked an awkward silence.
According to USA Today, Vance and Usha have yet to decide on a name for their child, a boy who’s expected in July. Friday morning, Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade offered the vice president his own suggestion for a name — one that involved honoring President Donald Trump.
“I have a suggestion! I have a suggestion! I'd name 'em 48,” Kilmeade said during an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” referencing Trump as being the United States’ 48th president. “Right? Name 'em 48."
Kilmeade’s suggestion was met with an awkward laugh from Fox News’ Lawrence Jones, itself followed by a brief moment of silence.
“Just an idea,” Kilmeade said. “Jot that down.”
Breaking the silence first was Jones, who described Kilmeade’s pitch as “not that good.”
And, despite not saying anything, Kilmeade claimed that his other “Fox & Friends” colleague, Ainsley Earhardt, was “not on board either.”
“When she's not on board, she stares straight ahead,” Kilmeade said.
Earhardt mirrored Jones’ take on Kilmeade’s suggestion, labeling it “not good at all.”
