Former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly received a brutal fact-check from NewsNation host Leland Vittert over the Jeffrey Epstein case.

O'Reilly joined Vittert on NewsNation's "On Balance" to discuss the case. O'Reilly claimed that the Epstein files have become a political detriment for President Donald Trump. He then attempted to repeat some of Trump's talking points, like that Democrats bear the responsibility for the files not being released yet.

"Jeffrey Epstein was convicted under Merrick Garland's Justice Department," O'Reilly claimed, referring to the Biden administration's Attorney General. "Am I wrong about that?"

O'Reilly also claimed that Epstein's suicide was "bull----."

Vittert replied that O'Reilly had his facts wrong and responded with a different timeline.

"He was arrested in 2019, and he committed suicide in 2019," Vittert replied. "He died August 10, 2019. So, the Biden administration was not involved in a conviction or a trial of him."

Vittert's response seemed to irk O'Reilly, who then returned to his previous point that Epstein was arrested and indicted under Garland.

"No!" Vittert exclaimed. "Under Trump. Epstein was arrested, indicted, and committed suicide under Trump."
